Director Submissions

 

The St. Mark’s Players are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking Show Proposals for our 2024-2025 Season!

​

Deadline for submissions is Sunday, December 10th, 2023. Get those great concepts in today!

​

The St. Mark’s Players is a participatory company that uses theater to explore our lives and to serve our community. As a Community Theater Company, the St. Mark’s Players survives and thrives through the inspiration and involvement of people like you!

 

The Artistic Committee will be considering both plays and musicals.

​

2024-2025 Season

Performance dates are anticipated to be:

Fall – October 2024

Winter – February 2025

Spring – May 2025

(exact dates of performances are TBD)

 

Items to be included in your submission:

  • A “Letter of Interest” stating your desire to direct with the St. Mark’s Players.  This should include:

    • Why you want to direct with the St. Mark’s Players

    • Which slot(s) for the season you are interested in

 

  • Directing Proposal (if submitting more than one show for consideration, please submit a proposal for each show). The proposal should include:

    • Brief description of the show, including a character breakdown

    • Vision for your production

    • Themes of the show

    • Technical aspects of the show.  This should include how you plan to utilize the St. Mark’s Players performance space in the nave of the church.

    • Plans for filling out your production team

    • If possible, please provide a copy of the script of the show

 

  • Resume including all productions you have directed and any additional relevant theater material you would like the committee to take into consideration.

 

  • List of 3 references who are familiar with your work and their contact information.

We encourage all interested directors to see the nave at St. Mark’s Church prior to submitting your proposal to ensure your vision fits with our unique performance space.
